Honda S2000 Adjustable Wings APR Performance;

The Honda S2000 is a roadster manufactured by the Japanese automaker Honda Motor Company. It was launched in April 1999 and was created to celebrate the company's 50th anniversary. Several revisions were made throughout the car's lifetime, including changes to the engine, gearbox, suspension and interior and exterior. Officially two model designations exist: the initial launch model was called the AP1, while the AP2 designation was given to the models produced from 2004 onwards which contained substantial changes to the drivetrain and suspension. Production of the S2000 will cease in June 2009.

Being that it is a Honda, and a roadster, this makes a great road racing sports car. But as you increase performance you need to add the adjustable wings.

When it comes to racing, every second counts. APR Performance Adjustable Wings can give you that edge to achieve faster lap times. By reducing lift and increasing down force, you can gain extra traction during high speed cornering.

Suspension tuning and aerodynamic wing tuning are similar. You may want to tune your car to have more or less oversteer. Adjustable wings help gain traction by the effect of down force. The higher the angle of attack on a wing, the more down force can be achieved. By using an adjustable wing, a driver can fine tune their wing to make more or less down force. This gives drivers more possibilities at gaining a better advantage on the race track.

But if you are looking to enhance the look and performance of your street car adjustable wings are a good add on. They are available in carbon fiber and in aluminum and are also available in vehicle specific or universal applications.

Adjustable wings come in many different styles, single plan wings, dual plan wings, straight plan wings and curved wings. And their adjustable wings have base stands made from billet aluminum. Billet aluminum is used for it is light weight and strength, and it is 6061 aircraft grade aluminum. Stainless steel bolts are also used to prevent rust and oxidation.

These adjustable wings also have a quality finish polished to ensure the highest quality possible.

Adjustable wings can be added to all types of cars. You can use these adjustable wings on coupes and liftbacks, and not just a compact car but also exotic super cars. Sedans can benefit from adjustable wings because sedans have a steep rear window angle, the vacuum effect in the rear is much greater then coupes/fastbacks. And less not forget those hatchbacks and wagons, you know the adjustable wings can help them. Yes hatchbacks and wagons have a problem… there are no rear decks to mount a wing. Fortunately these types of cars have a unique shape. Clean air flow goes over the top roof on hatchbacks and wagons. So by using a roof wing, hatchbacks can already position a wing in a clean air flow location.
